The International Biomechanics Symposium, presented by Centreline Collective, is scheduled to take place from 9- 13 May 2026 at Kyalami Park Equestrian, Midrand, South Africa.
This five-day event offers a unique opportunity for equine professionals, riders, and enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of biomechanics and its role in equine performance and welfare.
The symposium is structured to provide a broad, evidence-informed perspective rather than focusing on a single discipline. Through a combination of practical demonstrations, ridden sessions, and interactive discussions, attendees will explore the relationship between horse and rider, with an emphasis on ethical training methods and long-term soundness.
This year’s programme features a panel of internationally recognised experts, including Simon Cocozza, Anne Muller, Alejandra González, and Amanda Anderson. Their combined expertise spans areas such as rehabilitation, rider biomechanics, learning theory, and saddle fit, offering a well-rounded and collaborative approach to improving performance while prioritising the horse’s wellbeing.
